When you are thinking about selling a house in Bryan/College Station you need to make sure the house will pass the test! You can loose more money in an offer if your home isn't 100% ready to go! I’m Jennifer Jennings with NextHome Realty Soltuions BCS in the Brazos Valley.

Having sold thousands of homes in the Brazos Valley I can walk a house and tell you EXACTLY what other buyers and agents will say!

1. When you walk up to the home does it have curb appeal? Fresh landscaping, maybe a bit of black mulch in the flower beds, fresh flowers, plants or trees, new trim and door paint, or possibly even a new paint job? A great time to work on this is during the Big Event with Texas A&M!

2. Have you done the 3 D’s: decluttered, depersonalized and deep cleaned? Need some referrences for someone who can help you clean your home here in BCS--I am your contact to several reliable companies that do Bryan/College Station make readies!

3. Is your lawn lavish and green or yellow and crispy?

4. Are the walls painted a neutral color? Have you patched holes, painted the front door and trim? Do you want to hire a painter here in BCS? Call me! There are several in town I really trust!

5.  The Smell Test. OMG, I’m sure you don’t realize this, but did you know most people have a “smell to their home” yes, a smell. Pets, Cooking and even just daily living can cause a smell to settle into your home in College Station/Bryan.

6. FURNITURE! Another biggie!  Is your furniture modern and trendy to ensure it shows to the best of its ability, or is your furniture outdated and probably would look better in grandmas house. So many houses in BCS have an Aggieland Motiff! That sure doesn't hurt!

So I challenge you, take the quiz and get a scale from 1-10 to see if you’re BCS home is ready and sell for top dollar, or if you need to make a few changes. P.S. most of us have to make changes!
